Four suspects facing drug charges

Four people are to appear in court following the execution of drug related search warrants by the Lloydminster RCMP.

Police say between May 17th and May 18th, officers from the Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) along with the Lloydminster RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS) executed several search warrants on homes and vehicles. Police have arrested four people suspected of drug related offences.

Police seized one pound of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine, 11 grams of fentanyl, MDMA, a mix of over 500 pills, and an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency.

Following the investigation, 32-year old Sara Mckenzie of Lloydminster, Alberta is facing the following charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

Forty-year old Otis Watier from Lashburn, Saskatchewan has also been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

Thirty-one year old Jason Krysta of Lloydminster, Alberta, is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime as well as failure to comply.

Forty-five year old Wesley Wendt of Lloydminster, Alberta faces charges for possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The matters concerning this foursome have not been proven in court.

They have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Alberta Provincial Court on June 14th.
