Saskatchewan RCMP arrest Langham shooting suspect

UPDATE: The RCMP says this suspect has been found and all safety orders have now been called off.

The Saskatchewan RCMP is actively searching for a suspect in connection to a deadly shooting in Langham early today.

The RCMP says Justin Heimbecker is wanted on a province-wide warrant in connection to the incident, which left one person dead. He is described as 6 foot 3 inches, bald, and having brown eyes. He was last seen on foot and is believed to be armed. It is unknown where Heimbecker is at this time or whether he has access to a vehicle.

Police are advising people traveling that way to not pick up hitchhikers or divulge police locations at the moment to others. Residents of the area are asked to seek immediate shelter or shelter in place, close and lock doors and windows, and not leave a secure location.

If someone sees Heimbecker, they should not approach him and instead call 911. The RCMP will provide more details when they are available.
