Lloydminster man facing weapons and drug trafficking charges

Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section or GIS while leading an investigation at a local home, on July 6th executed a search warrant where they found several loaded guns, and a variety of controlled substances suspected to be cocaine and methamphetamine.

As a result of the investigation, 37-year old Tristan Edelman of Lloydminster, Alberta is facing multiple charges for two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, three counts for careless use of a firearm, as well as possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, two counts possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, and possession of property obtained by crime.

The charges are yet to be proven in court.

Edelman was held in custody for a judicial hearing. He was released by a Justice of the Peace and is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster, Alberta Provincial Court on August 2nd.
