Bobcats boast 11 players committed to post-secondary school teams

Another Lloydminster Bobcat has committed to a post-secondary institution and will compete in the NCAA Division I Hockey, beginning in the 2016-17 season.

Defenceman, Greg Moro, is the 11th player from this season’s team to sign on with an NCAA school team for next year.

“I would like to thank all the people who have helped me over the past couple years from all my coaches and mentors to the players who I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know over the course of my junior career,” said Moro.

Moro earned 9 points on 9 assists in his 23 regular season games with the ‘Cats, and the Edmonton-native has improved his record with 2 goals and 2 assist in 5 playoff games. The 20-year-old spent the majority of his junior career with the Humboldt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League

The Bobcats’ next game is set for Friday, April 1st at 7:00, against hosts, the Spruce Grove Saints. Two away games this weekend will kick off the ‘Cats third round series for the North Division title. After two series, the Bobcats are undefeated in the playoffs, having swept Drayton Valley Thunder, and then the Whitecourt Wolverines.
