New education director onboard at LPSD

His roots are trekking across the province as Jason Neville takes up the mantle of Director of Education at the Lloydminster Public School Division.

Neville comes to the Border City from Humboldt where he was the Superintendent
of Student Supports at the Horizon School Division.

The LPSD community in welcoming Neville notes that he has led the implementation of violent risk protocols and mental health frameworks in schools, as well as held down the principal’s and vice principal’s portfolios and honed those skills in the classroom.

Neville who has a bachelor of education from the University of Saskatchewan and a
masters of educational studies from the University of Alberta is welcoming the new role.

“I am looking forward to working with the Board of Education in Lloydminster
Public School Division. I know the division already has a strong senior leadership team and
excellent teaching and support staff, and I look forward to what lies ahead.”

Board Chair David Thompson says, “The Board looks forward to working with Jason as we review Division priorities and forge a path forward to meet the changing learning needs of our students while addressing new fiscal realities.”

Replacing Scott Wouters and Todd Robinson, Neville took up duties on August 1st.
