Big Game draw begins May 1

Applications for the draw to hunt elk, moose, pronghorn or mule deer in Saskatchewan will be accepted from May 1.

Officials say applications must be submitted online through the Saskatchewan Hunting, Angling and Trapping Licence (HAL) system by 4 p.m. on May 25 and that late applications will not be accepted.

Also, take time to review the 2023 Big Game Draw Supplement for more information and quotas for draw species. The supplement and other information can be found at saskatchewan.ca/hunting.

Draw results will be available through HAL accounts in June, except for pronghorn, which will be available in mid-July. Big Game Draw applicants will be notified by email, however, hunters are ultimately responsible for checking their results online, say ministry officials.
