City officials state it includes all backyard fires, wood-burning including smokers and charcoal appliances. The ban will remain in effect until further notice and supersedes any previous fire restrictions.

The ban prohibits:

  • all outdoor fires, including backyard fire pits
  • charcoal barbecues
  • wood-burning appliances such as smokers.

Officials note the dry weather conditions that have persisted in the region, leading to an increased risk of fires and encourage everyone to commit to being safe in preventing wildfires.
