Two Hills suspect facing charges in Lloydminster court

A male-suspect from Two Hills is to answer charges in Lloydminster after Kitscoty RCMP arrested him in connection with a vehicle theft in the County of Vermilion River.

On May 9 at 8:40 a.m., police got a call about a theft of vehicle in progress near Range Road 40 and Township Road 500.

Investigators say when they arrived the vehicle was found abandoned and they determined that a male-occupant fled on foot.

With help from Kitscoty Crime Reduction Unit, Vermilion RCMP and Lloydminster Police Dog Services, officers cordoned off the area where the accused was last seen. Police say they then got a call from a concerned citizen regarding a man in their yard that matched the description of the suspect. Officers found the suspect and took him into custody.
