Cold Lake resident arrested on warrant

A traffic stop in Bonnyville has revealed 2 vehicle occupants with outstanding warrants.
On Thursday, April 14th, around 2 in the afternoon, a Constable with the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment was conducting routine patrols in town when a vehicle was observed bearing a licence plate that did’t match the vehicle.
The officer pulled over the vehicle and learned the 45-year-old male driver from Kehewin was wanted out by Cold Lake RCMP for charges of Uttering Threats along with being on conditions to only be in a motor vehicle if the registered owner was present, which they were not.
The male was arrested for his outstanding warrants, but later released on scene on court compelling documents for both his outstanding warrants and a charge of Failing to Comply with conditions.
Checks on the passengers, 1 male and 3 females, determined that one of the passengers, a 26-year-old female from Edmonton had originally provided the police with the wrong name and was also wanted out of Cold Lake, for Fraudulent use of a Credit Card and Possession of Stolen Property. She was arrested for Obstructing a Peace Officer and for her outstanding warrants, and was transported to the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment, where she was put before a Justice of the Peace who released her on court compelling documents.
