Lloydminster resident in line for multi-cultural award

Lloydminsterite Joem Weinkauf is one of the nominees for an award from the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan or MCoS.

Weinkauf is of Filipino heritage and is in line for the 2023 Leadership Award. The recognition is given to an adult who has made significant contributions to the multicultural community, says MCoS in a statement.

Joem and her husband Darren were recently saluted with the Downtown Business of the Year accolade for their Brighter Horizon Financial Services, by the Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce.

Also nominated in the category are Giri Sankar of Regina and Darlene Stakiw of Yorkton.
