Both LPSD and LCSD bus service will be canceled for Friday, Jan. 12 due to the cold weather warnings issued by Environment Canada. This includes Pre-K bus service and field trips.
Schools however will remain open.
Bus services are also canceled for Buffalo Trail Public Schools, however Vermilion, Wainwright, and Denwood in-town services were running on Thursday.
Northwest School Division buses which serve Lloydminster, Paradise Hill, Hillmond, and Meadow Lake areas are also not running due to the cold weather.
Meanwhile, the Northwest School Division website also indicates schools will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 16 in anticipation of the teachers’ union job action.
