Tracking the snow plow on Saskatchewan roads

If you have ever wondered whether the snow plow is out and about in Saskatchewan, well there’s an app for that.

Track My Plow is now part of the Highway Hotline app allowing Saskatchewan drivers to see what highways are being cleared of snow and ice.

Anyone can click on a plow and see that vehicle’s last two hours of winter road maintenance. When combined with descriptions of road conditions and a review of public forecasts, drivers can make informed decisions about winter travel, say highway officials.

There are more than 50 cameras connected to the Highway Hotline map.

The app can be downloaded from Google Play and Apple App Store. Additionally, drivers can hear the road conditions by calling 511.
