Lloydminster RCMP looking for suspects in theft of steel

Lloydminster RCMP are asking for more witnesses to come forward after the theft of two rolls of coiled steel. Early Tuesday afternoon, a blue Dodge pickup truck with a flat deck trailer stopped in front of the coiled steel at a construction site on the 6600 block of 63rd street. A driver, described as a man in his 50s of average height and weighing approximately 230 pounds, got out and told at least two accomplices to load the steel onto the trailer. A white pickup truck with a blue car hauler trailer in poor condition is also believed to be involved. One of the suspects also used a John Deere or Cat tractor with forks to load the steel. The steel’s value is estimated at $24,000. Lloydminster RCMP Constable Grant Kirzinger said he is confident that there are more witnesses to the crime, and is calling on them to step forward.
