More fire bans on the Prairies

More fire bans are being added for areas east and west of Lloydminster.

The dry spring conditions have forced fire bans in the MD of Wainwright and the RM of Mervin. This adds to the growing list of areas in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.

For areas east of Lloydminster:

  • RM Wilton – Fire Ban
  • RM Mervin – Fire Ban
  • RM Turtle River – Fire Ban
  • Meadow Lake – Fire Ban
  • RM Frenchman Butte – Level One Fire Ban
  • Loon Lake – Fire Restriction
  • Paynton – Fire Restriction

Areas west of Lloydminster:

  • MD Wainwright – Fire Ban
  • Wainwright Dunes Ecological Reserve – Fire Ban
  • Two Hills County – Fire Ban
  • County of Minburn – Fire Restriction
  • County of Vermilion River – Partial Fire Ban
  • Edgerton – Fire Restriction
  • Beaver County – Fire Restriction
