Sub shop bandit banned from Subway

The man who robbed the Lloydminster Subway will not be purchasing a cold-cut combo anytime soon.

On Tuesday, 26 year old Jordan Lamb appeared in provincial court in the Border City, after being arrested by the local RCMP on August 6, 2016.

Lamb and his accomplice, 22 year old Paige Farrell, had been charged with robbery, possession of a weapon, and wearing of a disguise with intent, and Lamb had remained in custody while Farrell was released with court imposed conditions.

The charges had resulted from a robbery on the night of July 21, 2016, after police had received a call about a masked man with a knife entering the Subway restaurant, and demanding cash from the till. He did receive cash, but was chased away by employees of the business. Both Farrell and Lamb were arrested and charged on the same day.

During Lamb’s appearance in court, his bail conditions were set at $600 cash, along with a ban on alcohol, drugs, and the condition to remain in his father’s residence in Lloydminster. He will only be allowed to leave the house in the company of his father. He was also banned from all Subway restaurants.

Both Farrell and Lamb will be making their next court appearance on September 13.
