Bomb threat to Wal-Mart in Kindersley

Kindersley RCMP along with the Kindersley Fire Department and Emergency Crews responded to a call of a bomb threat at a business located in the 700 block of 11th Ave east in the Town of Kindersley.

At approximately 9:45 a.m., staff at the local Wal-Mart received a call from an unidentified male who demanded a large sum of money from the staff and had disclosed the possibility of a bomb placed inside the business. The staff and public inside the building were immediately evacuated to safety.

After an investigation by the Kindersley RCMP, emergency crews entered the building to complete a search for an explosive device. Emergency Crews have been able to determine that there is no evidence of an explosive and nothing suspicious was found.

The RCMP will continue to investigate the situation and they ask that anyone with information in relation to this event to call their local RCMP Detachment or 310-RCMP.
