Kitscoty RCMP arrest two after armed robbery

Kitscoty RCMP have made two arrests following an armed robbery that took place last week.

On Thursday, September 8, 2016, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Kitscoty RCMP responded to a report of armed robbery at a business in the town of Marwayne.

It was reported that a woman came into the business then said she forgot the money for her purchase and left. A little later, a man wearing a mask entered the same business with what a witness believed to be a firearm. He then demanded money. The man left the business with an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a vehicle. No one was harmed in the incident.

Members of Lloydminster RCMP assisted in the arrests by setting up a road block for the suspect vehicle in the area. The suspect vehicle was stopped on Highway 45 and Highway 17 near Alcurve. The suspects from the armed robbery were in the vehicle and arrested without incident.
