Police release more details about Medstead grow-op bust

The RCMP have released additional information about the bust of a grow-op in Medstead, Saskatchewan, which took place on September 17.
According to police, approximately 700 marijuana plants were seized, along with close to 2.3 kilograms of packaged marijuana. Cash seized on the premises exceeded an amount of $6000.

Investigators have deemed the operation as “sophisticated” and have also described it as the largest amount of marijuana seized this year by the RCMP in Saskatchewan, in a grow-op setting.

Members of Turtleford Detachment, North Battleford Provincial and Municipal GIS, North Battleford PDS, Battleford’s Detachment, Integrated Organized Crime Unit from Saskatoon (IOCN), Regina Emergency Response Team (ERT) and SERM were involved in the investigation.
