Times and locations for Remembrance Day ceremonies

Remembrance Day ceremonies will be taking place across the area surrounding Lloydminster this Friday.

The ceremony for the Border City will be taking place in the gym of the Lloydminster Comprehensive High School, where it has been held in recent years. According to Rick Mallete, the Sergeant at Arms of the Lloydminster branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, attendees should be in their chairs by 10:30 a.m.

Anyone wishing to attend the Legion after the ceremony in Lloydminster is welcome to do so.

The Vermilion Remembrance Day ceremony will start at 10:45 a.m., as marchers set off from the Vermilion Legion hall and head down to the town’s cenotaph. The outdoor ceremony will be conducted at the cenotaph, and the marchers will then head back to the hall. Lakeland MP Shannon Stubbs is expected to be in attendance.
