Jason Kenney is being fined by the Progressive Conservatives for breaking their rules.
Kenney will have to forfeit $5000 of the $20,000 performance bond he put up to run for the Alberta PC’s after he showed up at a delegate selection meeting in Edmonton.
Party rules dictate that leadership candidates are not allowed to attend such meetings.
Kenney’s communications director says the candidate is disappointed with the ruling but will comply with the decision.
