The Lloydminster Fire Department is hosting their second annual roof-top camp-out for ALS on Friday. Four firefighters will be camping out on the roof of the downtown fire station from Friday to Sunday to raise money and awareness for the disease. Deputy Fire Chief Jordan Newton says the fire department hosts the fundraiser in memory of one of their colleagues, who passed away from the disease. Throughout the weekend, the fire department will also be collecting donations at local grocery stores, and a steak dinner will be held at the Canadian Brewhouse on Friday. Tickets to the dinner cost 20 dollars. The public are also welcome to stop by the downtown fire hall at any time this weekend. The campout begins at 6 PM.
