Dry grounds and winds are a perfect combination when it comes to grass fires. Whether it be burning a brush pile or winter scraps, it is best to be cautious. Aaron Buckingham, Captain of the Britannia Wilton Fire Department says there’s been a recent rash of grass fires in the Lloydminster city limits lately. Buckingham said the fires were contained quickly, but reminds people to have all the proper permits when doing a controlled burn.
