Lakeland College has hired a new rodeo and equine manager. Katelyn Ellis, a recent graduate of Laramie County Community College in Wyoming, has extensive experience in the field. She was a rodeo team captain, competing in events such as breakaway roping, team roping and barrels. Ellis says she will work with the Rodeo Club in the new year, practicing until the rodeos start in March. She also says she will enhance the program, and provide new learning opportunities wherever she can.
