Alberta Economy Minister Robin Campbell says that the province’s economy remains strong in spite of low oil prices. Campbell was in the Border City yesterday to speak to the Chamber of Commerce. He talked about oil prices, how that was affecting the economy, and what the government is doing to fix it. Campbell says that while the province does benefit when oil prices are high, Alberta still has a very diverse economy. He says the government plans to cut back on spending, and try to limit Alberta’s reliance on volatile oil prices.
