The Second grade class at Queen Elizabeth School are published authors. The class worked together with a Grade 11 Graphic Arts class in Saskatoon to put together a book titled My Pet Monster. The Second graders used an iPad to draw pictures of their imaginary pet monster, and wrote a paragraph about it before sending it to the high school for refinishing. The book was then sent back to Queen Elizabeth School so the students could provide an audio clip for the page that they wrote. Teacher Robyn Torry says that the students were happy with the finished product, and that the book has already has over 300 downloads internationally, and positive reviews. It can be downloaded for free on iTunes, or at JasonSand.com.
