A Bonnyville resident already facing charges has a much longer rap sheet. Bonnyville RCMP say a Constable was patrolling late at night when he saw an SUV blow through three stop signs. The car then wouldn’t stop for police, before losing control and spinning out on the road. The driver fled, but was recognized as a 34-year-old man that was known to police for previous charges. The same Constable was called to a vehicle break-in and theft the following day, and found footprints in the snow leading to a nearby home, where he found the suspect. He was arrested and charged with 23 new crimes, including flight from police, possession of a weapon, and theft.
