Housing Starts in Lloydminster on the Rise

Lloydminster is seeing an increase in housing starts according to the most recent information released by the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation.

In the second quarter there were 22 housing starts in Lloydminster, last year in the second quarter there were 12. The Alberta side saw a total of nine starts, which is down one from last year’s second quarter. The Saskatchewan side saw a total of 13 starts which is up 11 from last year’s second quarter.

Year-to-date, Lloydminster has had four more housing starts than last year, bringing the total housing starts to 33. On the Alberta side, the total number of housing starts dropped by six to 15 starts. On the Saskatchewan side, the total increased by 10 to a total of 18 starts.
