Cold Lake Will No Longer Apply To United Way Grant Funding

Cold Lake is streamlining its grant program. The City says it is dissolving the Family and Community Support Services Grants, while simultaneously cancelling its application to United Way funding. The city says that giving out grants to local charities, while applying for grants from the United Way – an organization that funds local charities – creates redundancies. Cold Lake will continue to fund local charities through the FCSS Special Grant Project, which provides non-profits with up to $2,000.
