City Supporting Annual Economic Partnership Summit

The fifth annual Economic Partnership Summit is coming up and the City will be a sponsor of the event once again.

The goal of the summit is to help develop indigenous partnerships with industry opportunities. Businesses, leaders and Indigenous people primarily in Treaty 6 Territory will come together to look at best practices, models that work and build partnerships,

“We know that there has been a lot of activity in the community by the indigenous communities that are around us, there’s business opportunities that exist today and will go forward. The opportunity to develop that relationship and build bonds are very important,” says Mayor Gerald Aalbers.

He adds, “it’s not just a local, it’s not provincial, it’s a national event in essence and I think it’s been highlighted in the past and will continue to be highlighted.”

The summit will take place on October 12.
