Vivint Canada Business-License Suspended

Vivint Canada’s business-license has been issued a 30 day suspension by the City of Lloydminster. This comes after residents raised concerns about the company’s door-to-door sales practices.

The suspension was issued today through a letter from the office of the City Clerk.

“During the 30-day suspension, the City will gather information relating to the behaviour of Vivint Canada’s System’s sales representatives, who have been going door-to-door in our community in recent weeks,” said Doug Rodwell, City Clerk.

He adds, “following a review of the feedback collected over the next 30 days, a decision will be made on the status of the company’s business license.”

If the business-licence suspension is violated it could result in fines and the licence being cancelled permanently.

The City is urging residents to share their experiences or concerns with the City’s Bylaw Services. You can contact them by email at [email protected] or by phone at 780-874-3710.
