Bud Miller Park was the victim of heavy vandalism over the weekend.
Along with the pictured bulldozer, witness reports say the sun dial, mini golf area and tennis court sheds were also damaged. According to the witness, the bulldozer was parked near the construction of the two new tennis courts.
In May, City Council approved awarding the contract for the courts to Bexson Construction for $273, 000, leading to public backlash on social media. The City ended up taking a second look at the project shortly after. On June 12, City Council re-approved the project, this time at a cost of $238, 548. Many residents were still unhappy.
The City has declined to comment on the vandalism. Goat News has reached out to the RCMP.
