An autopsy has concluded that the death of a male found dead on Frog Lake First Nation was a homicide. The male was 17 years old and his name is not being released.
RCMP responded to a shooting incident that allegedly occurred on the Fishing Lake Metis Settlement last Wednesday. The body was found a short time after in a vehicle with what a witness believed to be fatal injuries from a gunshot.
The RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit – North, along with Elk Point RCMP and the Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate.
This is not believed to be a random incident.
