MP Leon Benoit Says Rejection Of Keystone XL Ain’t So Bad

Vegreville-Wainwright MP Leon Benoit says that President Obama’s rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline may may be beneficial to Canada. Benoit was in Lloydminster for a pre-budget consultation at City Hall. He says that the delay of Keystone forces oil producers to diversify their strategies.

Benoit also says that the federal government has tried to help national pipeline development – such as Energy East – by streamlining the regulatory process, and getting rid of some red tape.
