Tickets on Sale Thursday for 17th Annual SPCA Dinner Theatre

The Lloydminster and District SPCA’s 17th Annual Dinner Theatre is coming up in November and the tickets go on sale this Thursday.

“It all goes towards our operation costs, so really the Dinner Theatre is so important because it allows us to finish off the year and get well into the next year. Plus the event is tons of fun, it’s a great chance to get out and see people in the community and really thank them for all of their support throughout the year,” says Jon Punshon, the Executive Director of the Lloydminster SPCA.

This years show is called ‘Hankerin’ Hillbillies.’

“Pa has five daughters and they all have the hankerin’ for some men and there’s very few men in the holler. When a government man shows up, things go wild. With the girls fighting over the man and Pa not wanting him around and it just keeps going from there and gets funnier and funnier,” says Gail Noble

Along with the show, the SPCA is holding additional fundraisers that night.

“We have a game show theme going as a fundraiser at the play, in which we have doors and the people bid on the doors, they don’t know what’s behind them and then they win that bid. If anyone wants to give one of those prizes it would be great,” says Noble.

“The biggest way you can show your support is definitely coming out to the Dinner Theatre and having a great laugh, there’s silent auction and a whole bunch of great raffles going on. It’s a great way to support and get out have some laughs,” says Punshon.

Tickets are $70 each or $560 for a table of eight and will be available at Mel’s Hair Shop. The show takes place from November 29 until December 2 at the Kitscoty Community Hall.
