Businesses Encouraged To Decorate for Pinty’s Grand Slam

Businesses around Lloydminster are being encouraged to decorate and participate in a contest to win two passes to the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling.

“We just want to show our community pride and our support for the event. It’s just a fun way to celebrate that we are hosting this international event and bring awareness to the event,” says Cindy Rekimowich, the Manager of Programs and Events with the City of Lloydminster.

She adds, “I know for past events, lots of businesses support these kinds of initiaves. Lloydminster is great for that kind of stuff.”

Rekimowich hopes to see 20-30 businesses take part.

The tournament takes place from October 24-29. The top 15 men’s and women’s teams will be in the Border City to compete for a qualifying spot in the season-ending Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling tournament, the Humpty’s Champions Cup.

Businesses can register by emailing [email protected] by October 17th, judging takes place the next day.
