Prohibited Firearm, Cash and Drugs Seized During Traffic Stop in Cold Lake

Three people are facing several charges following a traffic stop in Cold Lake.

Police say on Friday they conducted a traffic stop on 16 avenue in Cold Lake and seized 108 grams of cocaine, 180 grams of marijuana, 50 grams of methamphetamine, a significant amount of cash and a loaded prohibited firearm.

A 33 year old man is facing 10 charges including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

A 18 year old woman is facing 20 charges including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and eight counts of failing to comply with a recognizance.

A 14 year old boy is facing 14 charges including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

All three were remanded into custody and will be making their next court appearance at Cold Lake Provincial Court and at Cold Lake Youth Justice Court on November 8.
