Majority of Saskatchewan Residents Support Ridesharing: Poll

Approximately 80% of people in Saskatchewan support or somewhat support ridesharing being available in the province according to a recent poll done by Nanos.

The poll also says that about 53% of people think it would reduce the number of impaired drivers.

About 90% of people also support or somewhat support the provincial government should require an electronic criminal record search of convictions and driver history of any Saskatchewan resident who wants to be a ridesharing driver. As well, approximately 80% of people support or somewhat support providing insurance ridesharing companies could purchase.

The survey asked 400 residents of Saskatchewan, 18 years of age or older, between November 1st and 5th. The margin of error 5.0 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
