Battlefords RCMP conducting holiday check stops

With the holiday season in full swing, officers are out in full force conducting check stops around the region. One was done within the City of North Battleford Wednesday night, and a total of 471 vehicles were stopped.

Battlefords RCMP says they issued one roadside suspension for a driver with a Blood Alcohol Concentration between .04 and .08, and five vehicles were towed for suspended drivers. RCMP also charged one person each with impaired operation by drug and impaired care and control, and issued two open liquor tickets.

Officers also found two unregistered vehicles, executed two warrants for arrest, and found two improperly restrained infants. Several other warnings were also issued for minor traffic violations.
