The Lloydminster Chapter of the MS Society is trying to get the word out about the annual MS Walk. The walk is the biggest fundraiser for the organization, and it’s scheduled to take place in Bud Miller Park on May 2nd. Lakeland Regional Director Johanna Green says that MS is a pressing concern in Lloydminster and the Prairie provinces. Last year the walk raised $200,000, and they’re looking to set a new record in 2015. Most of the money will stay within the community, and a portion will be donated to research. To sign up go to mswalks.ca.
