32-year old woman confirmed dead in Makwa Sahgaiehcan fire

Loon Lake RCMP are confirming that the 32-year old woman unaccounted for after a house fire on the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation was person found deceased on scene.

Fire Crews and police responded to the blaze around 3 A.M Sunday. The home had already been evacuated and residents had been treated for minor injuries. One person was found deceased at the house. An autopsy confirmed the identity of the deceased as the woman who was previously not located.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
