“I Love Alberta Boobs” putting on Rock For a Cure

The “I Love Alberta Boobs” Society Lloydminster Chapter says the annual “Rock For A Cure” is a go for this year.

The concert is the society’s biggest annual fundraiser and goes towards making sure they can operate for another year, providing funding to the Alberta Cancer Foundation and continue to support breast cancer survivors in the Border City. Last year’s Rock For A Cure was cancelled due to economic restrictions, but the society decided to put it on again after financial improvements this year.

I Love Alberta Boobs Lloydminster President Brandy Schwenk says that all the money raised is for the community.

“Because we raise the money for breast cancer patients, and especially now that we’ve created the ‘I Love Alberta Boobs’ Assistance Fund, it’s going to be directly impacting those people in Lloydminster and surrounding area that are living with breast cancer, we can give them that money free and clear.”

Schwenk is encouraging people to get tickets, but they are also looking for volunteers for set-up and help throughout the evening. She says that Lloydminster always comes together to get involved.

“It just shows me that this community, how honestly and truly caring we all are. I just know that if there’s something that needs to be done, Lloydminster steps up and does it. It’s truly heartwarming.”

More information on tickets can be found on the “Rock For A Cure” Facebook Page.
