Kitscoty RCMP looking for suspects after shots fired

Kitscoty RCMP are investigating after shots were fired from a moving car near Range Road 20 and Highway 619.

Police were first tipped off after pulling over a speeding car. During the stop police found a gunshot victim, who had minor injuries. The victim was allegedly shot at after trying to stop a car that had swerved in at them on the highway. The suspected vehicle was later found abandoned east of Lloydminster. Further investigation found that it had been allegedly stolen Saturday after it was left idling.

RCMP are also reminding people that they should not confront suspicious persons, as it could lead to inherent risks if someone tries to take matters into their own hands.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
