Children from Lloydminster have a chance to learnĀ more aboutĀ a new sport tonight. Lloydminster Border Blades is hosting a speed skating information session in the Servus Sports Centre. Club President CharmaineĀ Stephens says that the sport is flexible in terms of time commitment, and is a popular alternative to hockey.Ā Participants will need a helmet, knee pads, neck guard and gloves, but skates will be provided. The sessions start at 4:30pm for Beginners, 5pm for Intermediates, and 6pm for Advanced skaters.
