Lloydminster RCMP seize fentanyl, cash and weapons in two searches

The Lloydminster RCMP have arrested three people after seizing drugs and weapons in two searches.

Police executed two search warrants in the city on March 20th, one in the 3200 block of 57 Ave and the second in the 3600 block of 41B Avenue. At the first police found over a half-pound of cocaine, two batons, a tazer and $3,800 in cash. At the second, they found 80 fentanyl pills, brass knuckles and about $4,500 cash.

Three people were also arrested and are all facing charges. Two have not been named and have been released awaiting trial. The third, 39 year old Cheri Sydoruk remains in police custody before trial, accused of alleged possession for trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and weapons charges.

Sydoruk will appear in Alberta Provincial Court on April 17th.
