Care to Learn Preschool program coming to North Star Elementary School

Cold Lake’s North Star Elementary School will be offering a new preschool program in September.

The program is called Care to Learn, and it’s designed to teach children independence, decision-making, creativity, communication and problem-solving. The program will be moving into the space currently occupied by Grand Centre Playschool, who will be closing down at the end of the school year.

“We are excited about expanding our programming in Cold Lake and will be providing families with several options for their children to attend preschool,” said NLSD Preschool and Out of School Care Division Coordinator Glenda Bouvier.

Care to Learn is already set up in seven other  Northern Lights District Schools – Ardmore School, Duclos School, Iron River School, Vera M. Welsh School, Wandering River School and Cold Lake Elementary School.

Registration for preschool starts April 13.
