Lakeland students to take part in 2018 Regional Skills Canada Competition

High school and post secondary students will gather at Lakeland College to compete in the annual Regional Skills Canada Competition (RSCC) for trades and technology.

The competition will see students participating in nine categories, including automobile technology, welding, carpentry, culinary arts, hair styling, video production, baking, cabinet making and electrical installations.

The top performers will earn a spot at the Provincial Skills Canada Competition (PSCC) taking place in Edmonton from May 1 to June 1. Gold medalists at the PSCC will become part of Team Alberta and compete at the national level.

The RSCC will be taking place at the Trades Center on the Vermilion campus on April 27.
