Monday, March 23, a 47 year-old man was reported missing, and it was thought that he may have wandered off from his residence.

A search was launched by Battlefords RCMP, Battlefords General Investigation Section, Battlefords and Meadow Lake Police Dog Services, and members of the Mosquito First Nation. In the early evening of Tuesday, March 24, the man was found dead, in a wooded area of the community. Police say that foul play is not suspected at this time, but an autopsy has been ordered.
