The R.M of Britannia is joining several other communities in issuing a fire ban due to dry conditions.
This is a full fire ban, which includes incinerator fires. Sandy Beach Regional Park is also under the ban. Any previous fire permits have been revoked, and the RM will not be giving out new ones for the time being.
Anyone who has a fire during the ban could be subject to a penalty. There is currently no set time for the ban to be lifted.
