The Wildrose Party is gearing up for the provincial election.
The party acclaimed Danny Hozack as their nominee for the Lloydminster-Vermilion riding on Thursday, April 2.
The party has opposed the government’s tax hikes, instead saying they would cut spending. Hozack says that there are too many managers in provincial administrative staff, and that Albertans could save millions by cutting the unnecessary managers.
Hozack also says that the Progressive Conservatives have broken promises of balancing the books before, and that he thinks the Wildrose will provide an effective opposition.
The Progressive Conservative government has called the provincial election for Tuesday, May 5, after only three years in power.
