A seniors project in Paradise Valley is getting funding. Leon Benoit, Member of Parliament for Vegreville Wainwright, on behalf of the Honourable Alice Wong, Minister of State made the announcement to help local seniors collecting stories to create a historical record of the community for future generations. Paradise Valley and District Senior Citizens’ Centre is receiving $20,000 for the creation of the local history book “Oxen Tales to Jet Trails – Part 2 – 1980 to 2013” from the New Horizons for Seniors Program. Minister Wong says government is proud to work with organizations across Canada that involve seniors in local projects showcasing their skills, knowledge and experience.”
